Geoffrey Thulin Art and Bio
Working cyclically, Geoffrey Thulin revisits different, yet recurring approaches (abstraction, landscape, animal imagery) in his artwork, exploring rhythm, pattern and color, and their connection to the spiritual aspect of nature. Energy is the overarching theme, playing across the surface, while pulsing from within.
His primary media are watercolor and gouache, but he also work with acrylics, inks, graphite, charcoal and pastels.
Raised in New England, Ohio and Pennsylvania, he received a BA in Art from Penn State and, then, began his professional career in San Francisco. He returned to the Gettysburg area in 1992 and settled in western Adams County. He has exhibited throughout the U.S. and has received several awards. He’s also a photographer and professional picture framer, living and working in an historic stone farmhouse with his wife, Julie, in the village of Cashtown.
