Fairfield Mennonite Church
the Food Pantry
news and updates
One of the goals of the members of Fairfield Mennonite Church is to follow Jesus’s example of service to others. This service can be provided to people throughout the world, but also to the people within our own community. Just as the Mennonite Church is actively involved in global relief and missions, we are also mandated to be agents of change in our own backyard. Although the Pantry was started inside the Mennonite Church by a member in 1970, all local area churches soon became involved. It is truly a community endeavor supported by all area churches, businesses, organizations and many individuals and families. Volunteers from all over band together to collect, pack and distribute food. Items are available for anyone in need who resides within the Fairfield School District, has an Orrtanna/Cashtown address and meets the income requirements set by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The food pantry building is located to the rear of our church
